My hamster has escaped, and I just realized it about an hour ago. He must've been gone for 2 or more days (stupid me did not check in him the by few nights, only gave food and water). There is no source of h2o and probably no nutrient either where his cage is located, which is on the tertiary flooring where our storage and such are. Is there a chance that he's alive? I'm and then worried! :(

There IS a chance, he is alive, but its pretty slim.

A syrian could well survive for at to the lowest degree four days without food, but he would be pretty dehydrated.

To the OP

Leave a few specific treats in every room. Preferabley in the middle. Bank check every few hours to see if he is in that specific room.

Also, you lot could hang up a water bottle in the room you think he is in. Chech nether all furniure, or places warm and cosy.

I do promise you find him soon. Keep u.s. updated

You can try sprinkling some flour or sand or any hamster-safe powdery substance in the room, and then if your hamster runs across the floor, you'll run into footprints, which will let y'all know that your hamster is still alive.

Put nutrient and water out on every floor, that mode your ham tin can become what it needs

The main problem with survival will be water, simply they will be surprisingly proficient at getting it from drips, condensation, etc.

To exist sure, though - put a small saucer or dish of water in each room. Brand sure all the doors are closed.

For food, count out an verbal number of pieces of nutrient - eg. exactly 5 pieces of kibble or sunflower seeds.

As long every bit all the doors remain closed, just check the dishes each twenty-four hours until you lot see that one has had food removed... then you know which room your hamster is in :)

In terms of fourth dimension, they can actually become a few days without food or h2o. Hamsters can eat their poop to regain nutrients if there'southward literally zilch else around.

A by hamster of mine was missing for over ii weeks... we accept no idea where she was getting nutrient OR h2o, but she popped up safety and sound behind the wardrobe. Don't give upwards hope :)

I have an thought of where he's been at because of chewed up boxes, but I still can't notice him! There'southward sooo many spots where he could hide. Concluding night, I put some food effectually where he's been at, but it hasn't been touched. I'thousand worried that he might not even be live.
